 For those who call 1.21 Church home, giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. A believer labors not to accrue personal wealth or possessions, but to steward God's resources well and model Jesus to brothers, sisters, and community. Our work is an effort to serve our Father in all things, and one of the primary ways we serve God is by cheerfully giving God our “firstfruits” (see 2 Corinthians 9:7 and Proverbs 3:9). We call our partners to give, not by meeting some petty, obligatory percentage, but by digging deep and sacrificing for the sake of the gospel because Jesus sacrificed for us, and all we have is His anyway. We are very open about our finances at 1.21 Church, and we publish our budget and giving surplus or deficit in a monthly document available to all 1.21 Church attenders so that the church and our guests can see how we’re doing as a body in meeting our financial needs. We thank those who have helped us meet these needs and pray that those coming and remaining would join in faithful, consistent, godly giving as Scripture instructs.
