"First century truth...Twenty-first century church"
1.21 is pronounced "one twenty one." 1 stands for the first century, and the truth and
values that drove the early church – the first century was
when the church was started. 21 refers to the
21st century, and living the truth, the mission, and the message
of Jesus in the context of our time – in a way that we can
make Him known to our world. We can’t be a first century
church, simply due to the fact that we live in the 21st
century. We intend to be ourselves, and we are
post-modern and modern 21st century people who live out the
principles we see in
Acts 2:42-47 — community, teaching,
sharing life together, and caring for each other’s needs.
