What to Expect
When you visit us on Sunday mornings, you’ll meet a group of people who love to worship together in community. Here’s what you can expect when you come.
At One21, we believe that the communion table is open to all Christians. We invite all believers to partake of communion each Sunday. Our servers will break bread for you to dip into the juice.
If you’re new, we want to get to know you. When you enter the auditorium, we have a Connect Table manned by one of our partners. Please stop by on your way in or after the service. We’d love to learn your name, get to know you and tell you a little bit about our church.
At One21, we believe that the gospel is best lived out in communities. When you come to visit, you’ll hear us talk about our Gospel Communities and be encouraged to check one out. They are groups of people living life together on mission to spread the gospel.
We love our kids here at One21. During the service, we provide care for infants and toddlers every Sunday and a second class for kindergarten through fifth grade every Sunday except for the last Sunday of the month, when they join us for the whole service.
One way we like to worship together at One21 is through our music. While the style may change from week to week, the songs we sing are deliberately chosen for their gospel-centered lyrics and the truth they proclaim about our Creator.
When you arrive at the Pope Activities Center, you’ll find parking behind the building. There are sidewalks on both sides of the building that lead to the entrance on W. Bank St. There is also some additional parking on Laurel St.
A healthy church is a praying church. At One21, we spend a great deal of time in prayer together. On Sunday mornings, we gather together to pray with each other before the service. During the service, we make time for corporate prayer. After we finish, there are always people at the front to pray for any specific requests. We also have a prayer team that will pray for your requests throughout the week.
Each Sunday, one of our elders preaches from the Bible. We like to go through entire books at a time, reading thoughtfully through books verse-by-verse. We believe in the sufficiency of Scripture, and we love to work through it together. We look forward to you joining us in our studies.
